Sager Charters - "Oriana"
Smartphotos was thrilled to be engaged via Velocity PR to photograph one of the finest Burger superyachts ever built. "Oriana" was originally built for, and was indeed, Henry Burgers personal pride and joy and is now performing as the queen of Sager Charters fleet. What a pleasure it was to discover and document the beauty and outstanding craftsmanship on display throughout this classic vessel. Smartphotos experience and creativity was ideally suited to capture the right images for the Sager Charters webpage and corporate brochures. Using ambient lighting and sophisticated digital equipment we were able to show the vessel in a very natural and authentic way. Please check out the images following and on Sager Charters website.

Cummins Western Canada
We recently completed one of our more complex contracts of 2014. Our customer, the HR and Marketing departments of Cummins Western Canada, required a series of photographs to document a typical day in their Service Department, the high quality work environment, and top workplace safety standards. At 2 large facilities in Port Kells, Surrey BC, we photographed Cummins technicians servicing many different trucks as well as overhauling huge haul truck engines. We also got to see first hand and photograph inside Cummins Power Generation division, where they design and build high performance electrical power generators. These diesel power generators can be found operationg in mission critical applications at hospitals, telecommunication facilities, factories, hotels, and stadiums.
We also filmed and produced for Cummins Western Canada a training video that demonstrates how to correctly use large high precision tools. We had the opportunity to work with top engineers and technicians that easily and naturally demonstrated the correct use of the tools and had a really tough but fun time demonstrating, in front of the camera, common mistakes made when using precision tools.

Globe 2014 at the Vancouver Convetion Center
GLOBE 2014 - Vancouver Convention Centre, March 26-28. For the last 24 years, GLOBE has been at the forefront of new ideas and insights on business and sustainability. Every two years, thousands of environmental business leaders, corporate environmental managers, and sustainability practitioners come together in Vancouver, Canada, to explore the mutually inclusive goals of corporate sustainability, business growth, energy and climate change solutions and urban development. Smartphotos was hired to document the participation of the Malaysian Consulate. Many of the over 650 presidents and CEOs of the over 3100 participating organizations visited the Malaysian Consulate's Exhibition. Following are a few images that depict their dynamic, business oriented participation at the important trade show.
Me-N-Ed's Pizza
For those living in Coquitlam, Me-N-Ed's Pizza Parlor on Austin is no secret. Apart from being probably the best pizza in town, you will be pleased by the warm and welcoming dining room and amazed by the Me-N-Ed's team attention to quality service.
We visited them one February morning, before the lunch rush, to make some pizza and take many wonderful images along the way. The owners were very specific about using the same ingredients they always use, no special effects to misguide their customers. Everybody participated in our photoshoot and we all had lots of fun shooting the pizza with our Canons :) Some of the images we created are now on the official Me-N-Ed's website. Others will be part of marketing material, posters and billboards. Enjoy some of the images on the next page.

Saltwonder
SALTWONDER - North Vancouver. SALTWONDER is the first Himalayan Salt Cave in BC/North Shore. Salt caves have proven to be an alternative natural treatment method for a large number of ailments in the recent past and is an ancient treatment technique. The use of salt cave alternative/natural therapy has been growing steadily.
I found out about this success story from a personal friend who benefited from a Saltwonder water treatment. We both suffer from asthma that is something modern medicine cannot cure but only manage its symptoms. So I followed my friend's recommendation and I went to Saltwonder in North Vancouver for a treatment. As I walked in, I remembered how excited my friend was with everything around, from the interior design to the artistic lighting in the man-made cave. The entrance, the reception area and the access to the cave is decorated with quality pictures and tapestries that you would expect to see in a museum not in a Salt Cave.
I've had a great experience and on my way out I've spent a few minutes talking with the owner and learning more about the benefits of the salt treatment. I mentioned to the owner how much, as a photographer, I appreciated the lighting in the cave. On my way out I left him with my business card and only a few days later the owner called me to ask details about a photo session. Novatec Systems
Novatec who has been producing infra-red equipment for a variety of applications since 1990 in Surrey, BC is a long time customer of SmartPhotos. In the last few years we've documented their exceptional technology and the processes Novatec created to dramatically improve processing speed, flexibility, quality and cost of operations for many aluminum suppliers and extruders. Smartphotos produced photographic documentation of Novatec's latest generations of infra-red die ovens, conventional ovens, walk-in, KILN and conveyor ovens and their electronic control systems. We produced a new brochure that Novatec uses at local and internationsl exhibitions and trade shows. We also continue to produce photography and graphic design for all Novatec's marketing needs. eleven09 rocks
eleven09 - Vancouver. A rock band in their early days. I've met Sami Gawi 5 years ago at a medical convention in Vancouver. SmartPhotos was entrusted to provide the official photography and Sami provided the music for Ball Night at the Convention. Since then we've connected at numerous other events and not long ago Sami asked Smartphotos to build his band's new website, develop a few different posters and a CD case cover page.
